  • 30 Aug 1916: A youth named Walter Fehmel, a guest of Captain Rushall's, Upper Beaconsfield, met with a riding accident on Saturday last. He was riding a spirited pony owned by Mr A. Shorthouse, and it bolted, throwing the rider against a tree. Fehmel sustained a slight concussion and a broken arm. He was attended to by Dr Griffith.2
