    In the First Civil Court the Chief Justice, Sir William Irvine, resumed the hearing of the suit in which Norbert Albert Rubens, merchant, of Flinders-lane, is seeking a dissolution of his marriage with Rose Caroline Rubens, on the ground of desertion. Mrs. Rubens denies the allegation, and asks for a judicial separation from her husband on the ground of his misconduct with Lilian Vera Lobb. Both Rubens and Miss Lobb deny misconduct, and at her own request Miss Lobb was joined in the case.
