  • 9 Apr 1934: Country Dance
A delightful party was given in honour of Miss Mary Sharp on Saturday night, when Miss Betty Patterson and Miss Meg Hesker were joint hostesses at a dance at Jesmond Dene, Upper Beaconsfield, Miss Patterson's home. Mrs. J. D. Patterson and Mrs. T. Hesker assisted to receive the guests, most of whom motored up from town through the rain. Cheery log-fires glowed in the ballroom and lounge, and mixed flowers in scarlet and tawny shades, with red berries, made an attractive decoration. Miss Sharp chose a pretty field flower voile, patterned in scar let and blue, for her frock. Miss Betty Patterson's frock was of velvet in the new crushed mulberry tone. Miss Meg Hesker wore a floral chiffon frock patterned in shades of blue. Elizabeth Denham Patterson, Ilma Medland 'Meg' Hasker13
